Writing the Prayer of Your Life Retreat in New Mexico
September 8-14, 2008
Do you long for a place that is full of light, sun and spirit?
Come to Ghost Ranch, in Abiquiu, New Mexico. You'll be inspired by wide vistas, red cliffs, and resplendent plateaus.
There are hiking trails, two labyrinths, and a medicine wheel in the red sand. It's a place to walk, breathe deep, and fill your soul with the vastness of the universe. It's the land Georgia O'Keefe returned to again and again, finally making it her permanent home. The perfect place to restore your soul at the end of a long winter.
Casa del Sol is a center for spirituality
within Ghost Ranch, and will be the home for your Writing the Prayer of Your Life Retreat.
Casa del Sol is an old hacienda (adobe) situated on the outskirts of the Ghost Ranch campus. You will be surrounded by red cliffs and sky. Your closest neighbors will be the cows who will serenade you at sunset. There's a private labyrinth and medicine right outside your door.
At Casa del Sol, you'll have the time and space to sink deeply into your life and the deepest questions of your soul. You'll write, walk, and live in prayer time. There will be times of silence and times of shared writing and laughter. Time for hiking the amazing trails, time to speak intimately with yourself and the others on the retreat.
The retreat will be a place to explore these questions:
What if the story of your life is the prayer you are meant to live? How does your own story interface with the story unfolding on our planet?
In this workshop we will create a sacred space in which to explore these questions through writing. This time at Casa del Sol is designed as an inner journey that will nourish your creativity, feed your spiritual life, and foster a deep connection to the high desert.
